autorun handler corrupt? Tech Support

autorun handler corrupt?

Okay, here's the issue.  I have Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (64-bit).  I recently cleaned a virus off my hard drive.  Now, for whatever reason, AutoPlay works but AutoRun doesn't.  When I insert a game DVD (e.g.
Fallout: New Vegas, or any other DVD with an
autorun.inf file), it asks me if I want to open the folder to view the files.  But it SHOULD also be asking me if I want to "Install or run program from your media".  It doesn't; in fact, the option doesn't even appear.  The ONLY option that appears is "Open
folder to view files using Windows Explorer".  Inserting any other type of CD or DVD (like a movie or an audio DVD) works exactly the way it's supposed to...
the issue ONLY exists for the "software and games" category.
(It might also be affecting "Enhanced DVD Movie" or "Mixed Content", but since I don't have any DVDs of those types, I have no way of testing it.)
I've made sure that the Hardware Shell Detection Service is started.
I've made sure that autoplay is not disabled.
I've made sure that "Use autoplay for all media and devices" is checked.
I've made sure that "Software and Games" is set to "Ask me every time".  (I've also tried "Install or run program from your media".)
I've made sure that the NoDriveAutorun and/or NoDriveTypeAutorun registry keys are set to 0x00000091 (145) as they should be.
I've tried right-clicking on the DVD drive and clicking on "Open AutoPlay..." and still only get the "Open Folder" option.
I've tried SFC /SCANNOW.  It didn't find any issues.
PLEASE don't bother telling me to run Microsoft's Autoplay Fixit tool; it doesn't work on 64-bit systems.
Does anyone have any ideas what registry keys and/or Windows files need to be replaced or edited to fix my autorun issue?  If nothing else works, I guess I'll have to resort to crossing my fingers and doing a repair install, but I'd rather not unless I absolutely
have to; it inevitably results in taking all day to put everything back the way I want it to be.

Never mind.  I figured it out myself.  Removing the virus IS what messed up autorun; but in the process of restoring it, I mistyped one of the registry values that I was trying to fix.  You can go ahead and close this question.

Open Action Center by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and then, under System and Security, clicking Review your computer's status.

Update and run your antivirus software. Windows doesn't come with antivirus software, but Action Center can often monitor the antivirus software that you or your computer manufacturer have installed.
